When I’m sitting among trees, it’s as if I’m in the presence of the Divine. Even more than that, I feel as though I’m sitting WITH God. And it’s as if the trees are speaking truth to my heart. Yesterday, the message for me was:
“Just feed the Spirit within you by meditation, kindness and compassion, on which the Spirit thrives. Then go out and live your life to the full, engaging in heart-led pursuits and passions.”
It was as if my heart leapt within me, as it recognised the voice of its Beloved.
GOD is not complicated, but rather He is pure simplicity. Just look at the trees and see the Divine there. Sit in Silence among them. LISTEN to them. Maybe they will speak to your heart too.
“If what I say resonates with you,
it’s merely because we are both branches of the same tree.”
Yesterday was a good day. It seemed different somehow, one of those days when everything goes right. The traffic lights were all on green, other drivers gave way to me, and people in general were helpful and friendly. One particular moment stands out in my memory: as I came out of a shop in the precinct, a kind man in workman’s clothes held the door open for me. He smiled the most beautiful smile, so warm, and his eyes spoke volumes. I smiled back as I thanked him. “My pleasure” he replied. In that moment I felt touched by the Divine, as if it was God smiling at me. I felt as though I was walking on air for the rest of the day.
This morning it struck me anew that changing the world begins on a personal level, with us as individuals. All creation exists within the Web of Life. Each single thread of this web has an interconnectedness, within which we are all bound to each other. Everything that we do on a personal level affects others within this Living Web. It can be compared to the ‘ripple effect’, where one small pebble produces many ripples.
We must all play our parts in changing the destiny of our world. It will not happen without us.
“The life I touch…will touch another life, and that in turn another,
until who knows…in what far place my touch will be felt.”
January. The first month of a new year. The perfect time for new beginnings and a fresh start. Today is the first day of the rest of my life and I intend it to be the catalyst to a fantastically fulfilling future, one where I will live the grandest vision of myself and where I will inspire and give hope to others. This will be me making my stamp on the world by following my heart and living my dreams, thereby fulfilling my destiny, a true living legacy.
This morning at 3am, I awoke to some words resounding in my head:
“Behold, all things have become new!!”
A new day breaks, a new year dawns – heralding new beginnings, a clean slate, a fresh start, new hopes and dreams. And absolutely no regrets!
I previously observed life through negative eyes and I dwelt on that negativity – on all the things that were wrong in the world. And what we focus upon….grows!
It’s all a matter of perception – we see what we expect to see, what we’ve been conditioned to see. But we can change our perception. We can start to look for the best in everything and everyone.
I’ve had a mind makeover, and the seeds of beauty have been planted therein. I see the world through ‘new’ eyes, since I started to look at life through a lens. It’s like a spotlight on the natural world. I see beauty everywhere and in everyone. I dwell on it, focus on it, and I watch it grow- beauty springing up everywhere I look!!
“Change yourself to change your world. Change your thoughts, your attitudes and your beliefs, and your world will change accordingly.”
